Invasion '53
Catoctin Pictures (in collaboration with Olim Entertainment) recently produced the short film Invasion '53, a sendup of 1950s sci-fi movies, shot in the style of the period. The 10-minute short stars Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). This project was a test incubator, working out production efficiencies, new production methods, and crew positions at scale to refine cost savings and best practices. And, we had a lot of fun making it! ​​​​​

To date, Invasion '53 has been selected by more than thirty film festivals and won the top juried award at three festivals and two audience awards. Its world premiere was at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival, and it screened at San Diego Comic-Con.
